Ukulele for fun
This group was formed in September 2016 after 2 of the WI members went on a ukulele course at Denman College.
Following their enthusiasm, and a brief performance at a monthly meeting, other members wanted to learn……
and so it began!
The group meets at the WI hall in Gallwey Road, Wyke Regis,
7.30 to 9.30pm the 1st and 3rd Thursday each month.
It is open to non-WI members (even men!)….for a voluntary donation. Free to Wyke WI members……plus standard 50p for refreshments.
We have a couple of spare ukuleles if you want to come and give it a try.
We do not formally teach, but can get you started and point you in the right direction if you want lessons or advice on buying a ukulele. Generally we help each other, have a good sing song, strum and have fun!

CHRISTMAS 2016 AT THE UKULELE GROUP
Musical entertainment at the april 2016 meeting
Members at the April Monthly Meeting were entertained a ukulele group which included Jenni Fleming (third from the left) and Frances Pick (far right). Jenni and Frances attended a ukulele course at the W.I. Denman College. A lively programme was enjoyed and members were invited to 'join in and sing'.
