July was the time to have the annual picnic lunch with the Keep Fit Group, in Jean Noble's garden. A walk along the old railway line, a visit to Sandsfoot Castle and (for some) a paddle in the sea gave an appetite for lunch.
Traditionally the ramblers have a picnic in August. This year at Tyneham the rain descended with a vengeance. A small group braved the weather and explored the deserted village. The picnic was abandoned and lunch was greatly enjoyed at the Ship Inn at Wool
